Description:
Apex is seeking a Project Manager to assist in the development and management of our growing portfolio of projects. Project Manager will be directly responsible for overseeing the development activities of the projects that they are assigned. Position involves frequent travel and is located in Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Management of utility scale wind projects
- Landowner lease negotiations in projects involving large numbers of landowners
- Coordination of the project interconnection process
- Overseeing of project environmental and wildlife studies
- Coordination of project budget, schedule and proforma
- Support in negotiation of power purchase and asset agreements
- Implementation of local, state and federal permitting.
- Development of marketing strategy
- Overseeing of project consultants: environmental, engineering, transmission, etc.
Requirements:
- Min undergraduate degree (masters preferred) in development related field with a strong academic record
- 5-7 years energy development experience (direct wind development experience preferred)
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc.
- Microsoft Project
- Proven track record in project management and contract negotiations
- Ability to run project financial models
- Ability to multi task and proven ability to work collaboratively within, and manage, multi-disciplinary teams
- Frequent travel ~50% of time
- Articulate and able to assist in management, client and public presentations
