Description:
Apex is seeking a VP of Business Development to support the company’s execution strategy, including project and pipeline acquisitions, utility sales, transaction structuring, and related activities. Former wind energy business development experience required, with a strong background and familiarity in sales & marketing, finance, development and transaction execution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and close acquisitions of wind projects and pipeline development assets
- Market development partnership model to utilities and other customers, including power and/or project sales
- Prospect and qualify new customers and partners
- Prepare and present proposals and presentations
- Execute company transactions with developers, customers and other partners
- Support team in negotiation and execution of project documents, including IC, EPC/BOP, PPA, O&M, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record, MBA preferred
- Five to seven years minimum of related experience, preferably at an IPP or utility
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc.
- Travel required
- Proven track record and broad competency in sales & marketing, finance, project development, transaction structuring and execution, etc.
