Wind For Landowners

Wind Energy for Landowners

At Apex, our development success depends on collaboration.

It’s about hearing and meeting the needs of our landowner partners and their surrounding community. These needs are unique to each person, to each community and to each project. All parties share the goal of reliably producing a source of clean energy.

At Apex, the road toward that goal starts with listening to ideas and to concerns, creating the right road map, and then following that map in a way that is open and transparent all the way through the development process.

Regardless of the size of the project, whether it’s 12 turbines or 200 turbines, the development process is complex.  That’s where our team and our deep experience come in. We’ve researched hundreds of potential projects. We can tell you whether wind energy is a viable opportunity on your land, and what the development process from start to finish looks like.

Finally, we make it our business to understand the complex regulatory process required to permit wind farms so that we can make it a positive development experience for you.
If you think your property may be suitable for wind generation, and are interested in another source of revenue from your land, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions you may have about locating a wind farm on your property.  Contact Apex today at info@apexwind.com.

Clean Energy for Your Community

The benefits of wind energy transcend matters of simple dollars and cents.

Wind energy is:

  • Clean:
Wind energy produces no sulfur dioxide, nitrogen-dioxide, particulates, or mercury emissions that are the direct causes of local health and environmental impacts such as acid rain, smog and asthma. Wind energy minimizes the amount of harmful emissions created and deposited in your community’s environment.
  • Carbon-Free:
Wind energy burns no fossil fuels whatsoever, and emits none of the heat-trapping gases that contribute to global climate change. Once a wind turbine is erected, it will generate zero-carbon electricity for its 25 – 30 year lifetime.
  • Large Scale:
Wind farms generate substantial amounts of energy. A single 2 MW onshore turbine is capable of powering 700 households per year. As turbines continue to become more productive and efficient, they will produce more energy at a lower cost.
  • “Home Made”:
The wind energy industry enjoys a substantial presence in the United States. The massive size of the equipment makes it economical to produce the majority of the value-added parts close to where it is deployed.
  • Labor Intensive:
The production of wind turbines requires high-pay, high-skill manufacturing expertise that provides American workers with jobs. Every one megawatt of installed capacity produces 22 direct and indirect jobs.
